Founded in 1995 as a ministry for the young people of New Manna Baptist Church
and the citizens of McDowell and surrounding counties, New Manna Christian School serves as a place for students to be educated in an environment that is conducive to their Christian growth. New Manna Christian School uses the A-Beka Book curriculum and considers themselves a tool for parents in order to fulfill the biblical command to "train up a child in the way he should go..." Providing the complete school experience, New Manna offers a full sports program for men and women including volleyball, baseball, basketball, and softball as well as other specialized extracurricular activities. This prekindergarten through 12th grade school promotes academic excellence in an environment that maximizes students’ individual full academic potential. Marion Christian Academy has small class sizes with a ration of about 12 students to 1 teacher in order to help students better focus. Teachers too benefit from the small class sizes and are able to spend more time working with students to exploit their full aptitude of learning.
